Set your flip flops free aboard the Margaritaville at Sea Islander with packages and upgrades especially designed to maximize your chill. While closed-loop cruises, where you embark and disembark in the U.S., allow you to sail with a birth certificate instead of a passport, we recommend the latter. A lot of people on this cruise only had birth certificates, and so were subject to longer lines at the terminal, both coming and going.

Between the first three-story Landshark Bar, the thoughtfully eclectic Hemisphere Dancer Craft Spirits, the adult-only Tiki Bar or any of the other 13 bars and lounges available, you'll never go thirsty abord the Islander. With 12 specialty and included dining options, sampling your way around the Margaritaville at Sea Islander is a delicious escape from the ordinary. That being said, on a cruise this short, where you're in port for one of the two days, you're not spending much time in your room anyway. Which is good, because only 10 rooms on the entire ship come with a balcony. Even junior suites only have portholes; you have to book a Grand Terrace Suite if you want outdoor real estate. Another area where the ship seems dated is in its utilities; the renovation did not add the number of American outlets and USB ports that always-wired travelers want these days.
Margaritaville at Sea is an exciting new cruise line currently featuring two ships, the Islander and the Paradise. The Paradise is currently sailing and the Islander is scheduled to make its inaugural voyage in June 2024. Our full-service spa and salon offers treatments of all kinds and caters to both men and women. Using the latest state-of-the-art techniques, our talented team will provide you with a personalized experience of ultimate relaxation. On these two-day sailings, the ship draws a diverse passenger base that goes far beyond Jimmy Buffett fans, reaching all ages and demographics.
It's fun to watch people feeling their own 'fits -- some people dressed to impress for the club, while others kept it chill. Still, the ship is compact compared to a modern-day megaship, and there's certainly enough onboard to keep you occupied. In fact, we found the two-day trip somewhat chaotic; with such limited time, passengers are packing in as much as they can, leaning to a fast-paced, occasionally frenzied, vibe.
Set sail for tropical waters and picture-perfect island views while basking in the ultimate relaxation or indulging in fun-soaked onboard experiences. The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is your easy-breezy resort at sea, with visual accents that inspire adventure. The ship’s inviting atmosphere is filled with music, lights, island-inspired sculptures, artwork, and more. Lovers of non-stop entertainment can enjoy the Margaritaville Casino, Stars on the Water Theater, and various nightclubs while wellness-enthusiasts can stop by the St. Somewhere Spa & Salon or Fins Up! With pools, a retail store, and so much more, there’s something for everyone.
